How to tell us
Every page and every uploaded file carries a report link. You do not need an account to use it, and you do not have to give your name. If you would rather write, the address is abuse@velt.lol.
Tell us the link, what is wrong with it, and how to reach you if you want an answer.
What we aim for
These are the targets the service is run to, not a contractual promise. Where reality drifts from them, the transparency page will show it rather than hide it.
- Child sexual abuse material: removed on sight, account closed, reported to the authorities, evidence preserved for them.
- Intimate images shared without consent: same day.
- Personal information about a third party, threats, targeted harassment: within a day.
- Malware and phishing: within a day.
- Copyright: promptly, through the process on the copyright page.
- Everything else: within a few days.
What happens to a report
A person reads it. If we act, the member is told what was removed and why, and may reply. If we do not act and you left us a way to reach you, we tell you that too, with a reason. Reports made in bad faith to silence somebody are noted and ignored.
If somebody is in danger
Contact your local emergency services first. We cannot respond at the speed an emergency needs. Once they are involved, tell us as well and we will preserve what is relevant.
For law enforcement
Requests go to legal contact address. We respond to lawful requests from competent authorities and will say what we hold, which is less than most services: visitor addresses are hashed before storage and cannot be recovered.
Preservation requests are honoured and survive account deletion for as long as the law requires.
