Send a notice to copyright@velt.lol including all of the following. A notice missing any of these cannot be acted on.

• Your name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.
• Identification of the work you say has been infringed.
• The exact link to the material on this service, so it can be found without guessing.
• A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the rights holder, an agent, or the law.
• A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act for the rights holder.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

A valid notice results in the material being disabled promptly and the member being told what was removed and why. We keep a record of every notice, what we did, and when.

This service is operated from Germany. Liability for what members upload is governed by sections 7 to 10 of the German Digital Services Act and by the EU Digital Services Act, not by the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act. The process above is written so that a notice drafted in the American form is accepted and acted on anyway, because the information a notice has to carry is the same under either.

The address above is monitored by the operator and is the designated point of contact for copyright matters.

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or that the use was permitted, send a counter notice to the same address with your contact details, the material and where it was, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed in error, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court.

We pass the counter notice to the complainant. If they do not start a court action within ten to fourteen business days, the material may be restored.

Accounts that repeatedly attract valid notices are closed. This is not a formality: a policy that exists on paper and is never applied protects nobody, so it is applied.

Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing carries liability for the costs it causes. Notices sent to remove criticism or competition are treated accordingly.
